Event Calendar Guidelines

The primary goal of Global’s events calendar is to provide a single Web site featuring a comprehensive listing of travel, cycling and scuba diving related information and events. The events calendar will allow the cycling and scuba diving enthusiast to submit and access this up-to-date information.

Please note that events organized by Global Adventures are shown in blue, and all third party events are shown in red. The event calendar will be updated consistently.

Please follow these guidelines when submitting events to our calendar:

• All events must be travel, cycling (road and mountain bike) and scuba diving related, and have a regional, national, or international audience;
• Events must be either competitive in nature or related to training and safety or a conference. We are unable to accept submissions relating to “for profit” events;
• Events should be submitted well in advance so that interested parties have enough time to plan ahead;
• All events need to point to a designated website so that travelers, cyclists and scuba divers can access all the information needed to make an informed decision;
• The event notice must contain the name and date of the event, qualifications and fees required to participate (if any), information about environmental factors such as topography, length, and weather info;
• The event webpage needs to provide a point of contact, including a phone number;
• Clearly state registration deadlines and explain your cancellation policy;
• The language used in the event notice and on the event website must be clear, professional, and accurate.

Depending on the length of your event, you may want to plan for the following resources: parking, food & beverages, shelter, and restrooms. It is also important to explain how interested parties can get to your location, and perhaps offer advice on available accommodation and transportation.

Please note that Global Adventures reserves the right to reject any event for any reason at its sole discretion.
